The Executive Team expresses their thanks to you for your interest in becoming a management member within Verde. This document has been created to prepare applicants for their future if accepted into the intern batch.
The Lead Barista rank has been established to further grow and advance Verde's Staff Team and service provided to our customers. The rank surpasses Senior Barista and is the highest ranking Staff Team rank. To obtain Lead Barista, a Senior Barista must obtain 200 Worker Points. A single worker point is obtained by serving a customer. Senior Baristas and Lead Baristas are eligible for Management Intern currently. Verde looks forward and is committed to growing and advancing our Staff Team and customer service and experience at our establishment.
Management Interns are not permitted within any Verde Experiences. At a certain point during the internship process, Management Interns receive the rank of Staff Assistant. Staff Assistants are tasked with several duties. The three primary duties being supervising the cafe, training at training sessions, and assisting staff members and customers.
Activity Requirements as a Management Member:
Management members are required to obtain a required amount of activity points every week in order to fulfil the management activity requirements. Members can obtain activity points by
supervising the cafe and attending training sessions.
Communication as a Management Member:
Management members rely on communication in the Management Team to not only properly assist others, but to receive assistance, whether that be for questions and concerns, ban and demotion requests, or staff requests.
Teamwork as a Management Member:
Management members rely on team work in the Management Team, whether it be in small or large groups. Management members are required to work with everyone in the Management Team to fulfil their duties at times. There is a lot of independent work, but a lot of work also relies on the Management Team working together. A prime example of this would be training sessions. The Management Team must work together to ensure training sessions are completed on time as scheduled.
Internship Information:
Our internship process is self-guided. This means that you are able to complete the process at your own pace, on your own time. You will be assigned a mentor, and they will be assisting you throughout your process. Upon completion of each stage, your mentor will provide you with information, details, and instruction to begin and complete the next! Your mentor will be your go-to guide during your process. They will be able to answer any questions, concerns, etc you may have.
Additional Information:
Management Interns and Staff Assistants are the primary force of Verde's Management Team as they make up the majority of the team. Due to this, Staff Assistants tend to be the most active and the primary presence not only in the cafe, but also at the training center. Staff Assistant positions constantly open due to the large amount of promotions, demotions, and resignations within the rank. The work can sometimes become difficult to manage and due to minimal duties which can result in a decrease of interest, the rank has more resignations than any other rank in the Management Team.
Those interested in applying for Management Intern should be aware of this information as it can be essential for deciding whether or not you should apply. For those applying, please ensure that you have a general understanding of the Management Team and how it operates, along with the primary duties of a Management Intern. You should also have the time and interest to carry out the duties given to you.
